In the film and tv world, Ophira has provided story consultation for a number of production companies including Boat Rocker Studios, Play Media and Incendo. They draw on a combination of lived experience and expertise in narrative and character tropes, focusing on stories connected to disability and chronic illness.
During 2021-2022, Ophira worked as a story consultant for seasons 1 and 2 of the CBC unscripted series, PUSH, a groundbreaking series which took audiences into the inner world of the “Wheelie Peeps”.
Ophira has also provided authenticity reads for several literary works, including Micaiah Johnson’s thrilling sci-fi novel, Those Beyond the Wall.
