Getting the chance to work with artists and learn together is a gift. Ophira has had the opportunity to support countless artists working in a variety of mediums and roles as they hone their voice and practice in both formal and informal settings. Understanding art as a community practice, they believe in mutual learning with each party bringing their own perspectives and experience to the conversation. They understand their job in this context to be a facilitator, honouring the intentions of the artist they’re working with.

They have been engaged as a mentor by organizations including:

  • The ReelAbilities Film Festival Toronto
  • The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival
  • ReDefine Arts
  • Paprika Theatre Festival

Ophira has also worked as a writing coach for individuals exploring many different forms of literary expression – novels, personal essays, playwriting and screenwriting.
