The Accessible Writers’ Lab is a national program, designed and facilitated by Ophira, creating space for 6 Deaf and disabled writers to experiment with what a collaborative, accessible writing process might look like for them.

During the 2022 inaugural edition, the lab was structured around bi-weekly seminars, providing the opportunity for mutual learning between the writing cohort and industry guests. Additionally, the cohort developed 6 research questions that are discussed in detail in the program’s case study report, now available on the Disability Screen Office Industry Resource Hub.
